“Mary’s Special Visitor / La Visita Especial de María”.
A subtle glow hints at something holy beginning.

“In a quiet town not far away,
Lived a young girl who loved to pray.
Her name was Mary, kind and mild,
Chosen by God, so sweet and styled.”
“En un pueblo tranquilo y sin igual,
Vivía María, joven y especial.
Le gustaba orar y escuchar,
Dios la eligió para amar.
Page 2

“One day as sunshine lit the skies,
A holy angel came in disguise.
His wings were bright, his face aglow,
With news from God he came to show.”
“Un día brilló fuerte el sol,
Y un ángel bajó con gran rol.
Con alas brillantes, rostro de luz,
Traía un mensaje de Jesús.”
Page 3

“‘Rejoice, O favored one!’ said he,
‘The Lord is near and smiles with glee.
You are most blessed among all girls,
God has a gift that soon unfurls.’”
“‘¡Alégrate, llena de gracia!’, él dijo,
‘El Señor está cerca contigo.
Entre las mujeres eres bendecida,
Dios tiene un regalo para tu vida.’”
Page 4

“Mary was still, her heart did race,
She saw the light upon his face. What could this mean? What should she do?
Her heart was pure, her thoughts were true.”
“María tembló, su corazón latía,
La luz del ángel la sorprendía.
¿Qué puede ser? ¿Qué pasará?
Con fe y amor ella pensará.”
Page 5

“‘Do not be frightened,’ the angel said.
‘God brings you joy and not with dread.
You’ll have a baby, pure and bright,
The Savior born on Christmas night.’”
“‘No tengas miedo’, dijo el ángel fiel,
‘Dios te envía gozo del cielo aquel.
Un niño tendrás, puro y brillante,
El Salvador, Rey tan gigante.’”
Page 6

“Mary asked, ‘But how can this be?’
She trusted God but couldn’t yet see.
The angel smiled, ‘God knows the way,
His Holy Spirit comes today.’”
“María preguntó, ‘¿Cómo será?’
Ella confiaba, pero no entendía ya.
El ángel sonrió, ‘Dios tiene el plan,
Su Espíritu Santo pronto vendrá.’”
Page 7

“‘God’s mighty power will rest on you.
His holy light will shine right through.
The Child you bear is God’s own Son,
The promised King, the Chosen One.’”
“‘El poder de Dios te cubrirá,
Su luz sagrada te abrazará.
El Hijo que tendrás será divino,
El Rey prometido, de amor genuino.’”
Page 8

“Then Mary bowed her humble head,
‘Let it be done,’ she softly said.
‘I am the Lord’s, I give my heart.’
And that is when the angel did part.”
“Entonces María bajó la mirada,
‘Dígase así,’ fue su palabra.
‘Soy del Señor, mi corazón doy.’
Y el ángel partió lleno de gozo y amor.”
Page 9

“The angel left with joy so high,
As stars began to fill the sky.
Mary sat still, her soul at rest,
Chosen by God, so truly blessed.”
“El ángel se fue con alegría,
Mientras brillaban las estrellas aquel día.
María pensó con calma y paz,
Dios la eligió, ¡qué honor le das!”
Page 10

“Mary showed us what to do,
When God calls out to me and you.
Say yes with love, be kind each day,
And let God lead you in His way.”
“María nos mostró con alegría,
Qué hacer cuando Dios nos guía.
Di sí con amor y bondad sin fin,
Deja que Dios te guíe hasta el fin.”

Text: “The story of the Annunciation reminds us to say ‘yes’ to God with joy and humility.”

🏡 “God Is With Us” – A Family Devotional Narrative
Theme: God’s Presence, Protection, and Promises
Style: Warm storytelling interwoven with Scripture
Audience: Children and families
It was a quiet morning in the Santiago household.
Mom was sipping her tea, Dad read the Bible, and the kids—Eli and Grace—were curled up on the couch still in pajamas.
Suddenly, Grace asked,
“Mom, what does it mean when you say, ‘God is always with us’? I don’t see Him.”
Mom smiled, set her tea down, and opened her Bible.
“Sweetheart,” she said, “Even when we can’t see God with our eyes, we can trust that He is with us because His Word tells us so.”
She turned to Deuteronomy 31:8 and read aloud:
“The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.”
“See?” she said. “God goes before us. That means He’s already in our tomorrow. And He stays with us in today.”
Later that day, Eli was feeling nervous.
His team had a big soccer game, and he wasn’t sure he’d do well.
“Eli,” Dad said, “God doesn’t just walk with us in peaceful times. He stays close when things feel scary too.”
He showed Eli Isaiah 41:10:
“Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
Dad added, “God is stronger than fear, and He’ll help you stand tall today.”
That evening, the family gathered to pray.
They had just read the story of Queen Esther and talked about how God used her at just the right time.
Mom said, “God had a plan for Esther. And He has a plan for our family too.” She turned to Esther 4:14:
“And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?”
“Maybe,” Grace whispered, “God made me to help someone who feels alone.”
Eli added, “Or maybe He made me to show kindness when kids feel angry.”
Dad nodded. “That’s exactly it. We are made for a purpose.”
The next morning, Grace ran to Mom, scared.
“I had a bad dream,” she said, “and it felt real.”
Mom held her close and whispered, “Sweet girl, even when you sleep, God watches over you.”
She read from Psalm 121:4:
“Indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.”
“He doesn’t sleep on the job,” Mom added. “He guards us day and night.”
Grace smiled. “That means even while I dream, God is still awake!”
At dinner, they talked about a tough day at school.
Eli said, “Someone was mean to me today.”
Dad said, “That hurts. But remember what God said in Genesis 50:20 when Joseph was hurt too. He told his brothers…”
“You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good.”
“God can take even mean moments and turn them into good,” Dad added.
“Like fertilizer on a flower,” Eli said. “It stinks now, but it helps us grow.”
Everyone laughed.
As bedtime came, the family gave thanks.
Mom said, “We’ve seen today that God is with us, fights for us, and even uses hard times to bless us.”
Dad read one last Scripture—1 John 4:4:
“The one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.”
They lit a candle and sang a quiet song.
“Lord,” they prayed, “You are our protector, our helper, our always-and-forever God. We thank You for being with our family.”
And with that, Eli and Grace drifted to sleep, tucked under blankets, hearts full of peace.
Because they knew…
God is with us. Always.
🌟 A Message Like No Other
Picture Mary, a regular teenage girl in Nazareth—school, family, everyday rhythms. One evening, while she’s quietly finishing up chores, something incredible happens.
Out of nowhere, the angel Gabriel appears in her room. He’s not there to tease her or scare her—he’s glowing with purpose. Gabriel says, “Rejoice, highly favored! The Lord is with you, and you’re blessed among women.” (Luke 1:26–28).
Mary freezes—her heart skips. “What does that even mean?” she wonders. She’s baffled and a bit scared. (Luke 1:29)
But Gabriel gently pushes away the fear. “Don’t be afraid, Mary—you’ve found God’s favor.” (Luke 1:30)
Then Gabriel drops the biggest news ever: “You’re going to have a baby—a SON—and you’re going to name Him Jesus.” (Luke 1:31)
“This child will be called the Son of the Most High, and His kingdom will never end.” (Luke 1:32–33)
Mary blinks. “Me? A baby? I’ve never been with a man,” she says, trying to grasp what’s happening. (Luke 1:34)
Gabriel explains it simply but powerfully: “God’s Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will make this happen. That baby will be the Son of God.” (Luke 1:35)
It’s like standing on the edge of something glorious and terrifying all at once.
But Mary responds with grace that changes history:
“I am God’s servant—let it be done to me as you say.” (Luke 1:38)
And just like that, Gabriel’s mission is complete—he fades away, and Mary is left in awe, with a heart full of commitment.
🎧 Why It Sparks Hope for Teens
- Unexpected calls: Like Mary, you might face a sudden invitation—an opportunity, a responsibility, a dream—that’s HUGE and scary.
- Fear vs. favor: Mary’s reaction shows that trust can calm fear. You’re more favored and loved than you realize.
- Power in perspective: God’s invitations often come with growth. They might be scary—but they’re part of something bigger.
- Radical yes: Mary didn’t fully understand—but she trusted. Your “yes” doesn’t have to be perfect or complete. It just has to be honest.
💡 Reflect for a Moment
- What’s an opportunity right now that feels impossible? School audition, standing up for someone, stepping out of your comfort zone?
- What if you decided to say yes to that invite—even if it’s scary?
- Who in your life could say something like Gabriel’s words to you? Maybe a friend, a mentor, a coach—you’re not alone.
🙏 A Simple Prayer
Lord, give me Mary’s courage to say “yes” even when I’m unsure. Help me remember that You are with me, favoring me through every unexpected twist. May I trust Your plan—because my heart is Yours. Amen.
Like Mary, you can step into the unknown with confidence—not because your plan is perfect, but because you’re invited to be part of
