✨ Words of Encouragement Scriptures ✨
Psalm 118:24
“The Lord has done it this very day; let us rejoice today and be glad.”
(or more traditionally known as:)
“This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.”
John 8:36
“So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.”
Galatians 4:4–7
“But when the set time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those under the law, that we might receive adoption to sonship.
Because you are his sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, the Spirit who calls out, ‘Abba, Father.’
So you are no longer a slave, but God’s child; and since you are his child, God has made you also an heir.”
John 17:13–17
(Jesus praying to the Father)
“I am coming to you now, but I say these things while I am still in the world, so that they may have the full measure of my joy within them.
I have given them your word and the world has hated them, for they are not of the world any more than I am of the world.
My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one.
They are not of the world, even as I am not of it.
Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth.”
Galatians 5:1
“It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.”
1 Timothy 6:12
“Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses.”
Proverbs 6:31
“Yet if he is caught, he must pay sevenfold, though it costs him all the wealth of his house.”
(This verse refers to a thief who steals out of hunger but still must make full restitution — often used symbolically to declare restoration from the enemy.)

🌟 Small Sermon: “Walk in Freedom and Joy”
Introduction:
Today, I want to speak to you about freedom, identity, and victory — and how we can walk each day full of joy because of who God says we are.
🕊️ Point 1: Rejoice — This Day Belongs to the Lord
Psalm 118:24 says:
“This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.”
No matter what kind of day it looks like — busy, boring, or broken — God made it. And if He made it, He’s in it. We can choose to rejoice, not because everything is perfect, but because He is with us in it.
🔓 Point 2: You Are Truly Free
Jesus said in John 8:36:
“If the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.”
That means you’re not a prisoner of fear, shame, or your past. You’re not defined by what others say or by mistakes you’ve made. Jesus has set you free — and your freedom is real and unshakable.
👑 Point 3: You Are God’s Child — Not a Slave
In Galatians 4:4–7, Paul reminds us:
“God sent His Son… to redeem us… so that we might receive adoption to sonship.”
You’re not a stranger or a servant in God’s house — you’re His child. And because of that, you have an inheritance. You belong to a Kingdom that cannot be shaken.
📖 Point 4: You Are Not of This World
In His final prayer before the cross, Jesus said:
“They are not of the world, even as I am not of it… Sanctify them by the truth; Your word is truth.” (John 17:16–17)
We live in this world, but our values, our hope, and our truth come from another place — from God’s Word. The more of it we know, the stronger and more joyful we become.
🛡️ Point 5: Stand Firm and Fight the Good Fight
Galatians 5:1 tells us:
“It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm then…”
1 Timothy 6:12 adds:
“Fight the good fight of the faith.”
Every day is a spiritual battle — but we’re not fighting alone, and we’re not fighting to win — we’re fighting from victory. Christ has already overcome. Our job is to hold onto His truth and not go back into fear or doubt.
💥 Point 6: Restoration Is Coming
Proverbs 6:31 says:
“If the thief is caught, he must pay sevenfold.”
That means if the enemy has stolen your joy, peace, health, or time — God promises restoration. What was taken from you will be returned — and multiplied.
🙌 Conclusion: Walk in It
So today, walk in what God has already given you:
- Rejoice — because this day is His.
- Stand firm — because you are truly free.
- Remember — you are God’s child, not a slave.
- Hold tight — to the truth that sanctifies and strengthens.
- Declare — that everything lost will be restored.
This is your day. This is your freedom. This is your victory — in Jesus’ name.
Amen.

🎙️ Narrative Sermon: “Walk in Freedom and Joy”
I woke up this morning to light pouring through the window. The kind that makes the room glow — not loud or blinding, just… warm. And as I stretched and put my feet on the floor, these words came softly into my spirit:
“This is the day the Lord has made. Rejoice. Be glad in it.” (Psalm 118:24)
I didn’t feel like rejoicing at first. The world is noisy. Life is heavy some days. But then I remembered — it’s His day. He made it. And if He made it, He must be in it.
So I said aloud,
“God, You are here. And because You are here, I choose joy.”
That moment shifted something in me.
Later, I was walking, praying, thinking…
And a phrase from Jesus came back to mind:
“If the Son sets you free, you are free indeed.” (John 8:36)
Free indeed.
Free from guilt I don’t need to carry.
Free from fear that whispers lies.
Free from trying to prove myself to people who never saw my heart.
Jesus already saw it.
And He still chose to set me free.
That kind of love changes how you walk through your day.
And then another truth gently rose up from my memory —
God sent His Son, not just to save me, but to adopt me.
I’m not just forgiven.
I’m family. (Galatians 4:4–7)
The Spirit inside me doesn’t cry out “Lord” like a servant.
It cries out “Abba.”
“Papa.”
“Father.”
And somehow, that name — Father — settles everything.
It reminds me who I am.
Not a stranger. Not a slave.
A child.
Later in the day, I opened my Bible and read the prayer of Jesus — the one He prayed before the cross.
He wasn’t just praying for the twelve.
He was praying for me. For you.
“They are not of the world,” He said,
“just as I am not of it.”
“Sanctify them by the truth. Your Word is truth.” (John 17:16–17)
He saw us — not fitting into the world’s mold. Not shaped by its noise.
Instead, shaped by the Word.
Rooted in truth.
Set apart.
It made me think:
I don’t have to chase what everyone else is chasing.
I belong somewhere else — to Someone else.
By sunset, another verse echoed in my spirit:
“It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. So stand firm.” (Galatians 5:1)
Stand firm.
Not just in belief, but in posture.
In identity.
In peace.
And when the world tries to pull me back into old fears, old lies, old patterns…
I remember:
I’m free. And I’m not going back.
One last thing before bed.
The enemy has tried to steal things from me in my life. Time. Relationships. Joy.
But I remembered what God said in Proverbs 6:
“If the thief is caught, he must repay sevenfold.” (Proverbs 6:31)
That means restoration is coming.
Not just enough.
More than enough.
So tonight, I rest with this thought:
I am free. I am a child. I am called. I am restored.
And this day, like every day, still belongs to Him.
Amen.
Scripture isn’t just read—it’s sown. And just like seeds, it needs time, repetition, and varied encounters to grow deep roots. As you read, say, pray, and personalize these verses, may your spirit be strengthened, your joy be stirred, and your freedom in Christ feel wonderfully real.
